I'll take a shot in the dark...Any of you guys have a hi-flite up the tank seat that you are willing to sell? Not concerned with the condition of the cover, just need the pan and foam.
The pan is the same as any Tecate pan and Hi-flite still sells the foam that goes up the tank. http://hi-flite.com/ I have a Hi-flite seat and I'm keeping it. :-)
Ahh, I didn't know that the pan was the same, or that you could still buy the foam. Guess a little research woulda been a good idea. Thanks dcreel.
Does Hi flite sell the seats with a pan or do you have to provide the stock pan? I think the answer is no here. Also, do any of you have a pic of an 84/85 with a hi flite desert seat on it? The up the tank style might look better in the taller desert foam.
No, You can send in your pan and they will put the foam and cover on it and ship it back, or you can just buy the foam and cover, and put it on yourself.
does mrs mosh have/do them by chance?
I e mailed cosmic quads but no response yet. I'd rather have them do it. I don't know if they do the foam or just the cover.
Here is a pic of mine with the desert kit. I did not like it at all, felt like i was sitting way to high, so i bought the stock height seat kit from high flite. Still have the desert kit seat.
Is the second pic the stock seat height? The desert seat looks way higher than I imagined it being, glad I saw that before I ordered. I'd like a seat that is a bit taller than stock, which kinda looks like your second pic?
yea the second pic is stock height. not sure if it is same as stock because when i bought the bike it had a stock height hi flite seat on it. yea it sucks because i paid 150 for the desert seat kit and i hated it and couldnt return it. 3 inches taller than the stock height seat hi flite sells.
