Tecate skid plates.

I have the disc guard on my trike, and see brackets for maybe another one for the sprocket side? Was a skid plate (aftermarket?) produced for the motor and a-arm? May be a good idea for me, while crossing streams nailed a couple of rocks, the 'thunk' worried me. Know it's heavier, but want to protect my irreplaceable investments.

Awww....I found the chain traction on a log can help you over. But I would like to buy a chain guard if anyone has one available. Or trade for my NOS one.

Well I still have my stock guards unmounted from the swing arm and was going to post up pics of what the stock chain guard looked like but can't post in this forum.
To the very best of my knowledge a production "after market" one was produced.
I spoke to Tapper about both of these guards my be well worth while for him to reproduce.

Hang, if you want a picture(s) pm me your e-mail.

Just to make it easier John, does the sprocket guard look sorta like the disc guard?

AND since we can not edit posting in here either (geez), in this sentence in my posting I meant to say that to the best of my knowledge a after market one was NOT produced production wise.

Oh I don't want to sell them Robby. I really don't want anything to ship them to you to prototype from either, just my way of helping the T-3 community. PM me a address.
I will need them back by spring time though to put on my build.

I found the edit button, thanks sixpack !

I actually purchased the expensive NOS one with the idea of producing an OEM version. I want to start raking in the massive amounts of cash like some of you guys. I am in the metalworking industry and have a lot of contacts. To make it indistinguishable from OEM would take a stamping die to the tune of $10-20K, unless you could locate the original manufacturer overseas.

What do you guys think? How close would be "close enough"? I suspect there are two levels, one for riders and one for museum pieces.
