this comes up so often, hopefully people will see this.
86-87 200x axles are inevitably screwed up. whether or not your hubs were welded on or axles bent, they never seem to be good. my hubs were seized and splines wore out.

through some help from dirtcrasher and seabass, i am now riding on the first gen axle shaft.
never cared to measure, but might add to some width so i have heard.

first you need the first gen (1g), i used 84, 200x axle shaft. i used everything, including sprocket, rotor, and wheel hubs. i ordered the 2g bearing and seal kit off ebay, and got sent the wrong seals, but they were the right seals in the end.

i used the new bearings they sent with it, which i can only assume were 2g bearings. take that with a grain of salt from the ebay seller. the bag with dimensions is long gone, sorry. they fit great though!

the seals were wrong, but they were right actually! stock seals for the 2g are 40x62x7mm, whereas the correct seals are 42x62x7mm. these happen to be 84 250r seals and are easy to find.
part number on the bag is, 19-90100.

for install, you need to midify your 2g carrier to fit the 1g sprocket hub bolts. like so:

i used the 2g caliper and bracketry on the 1g rotor and hub. didnt try to use the 2g rotor and hub, mine werent as nice.
i did use the 1g wheel hubs, but to fit the 2g wheel i had to grind smooth the wheel mount surface.
really involved almost no work. very easy. i changed out the studs in the 1g hubs to the 2g studs because they were too short.

after all is said and done, looks like nothing happened!
