Well, the wife and I are picking up an 85 roller next weekend. This one is going to be the wifes.. Here is what we have planned.
The parts will be powdercaoted and polished. The frame, triple trees, and rear carrier will be powdercoated pink. The +2 swingarm and fork lower will be white. The plastic will be the rare white maier plastics. The seat will hopefully be made by the mosh's in pink or pink with white flames. The tank will either be painted white (rather not) or I will need to find or have made a white tank cover.

The motor has me wondering, she has mentioned a blaster motor. I would rather stick with a Kawasaki motor. Thought about a kfx400 motor or a KX125 motor.

Let me know what you think. Do you have any better color combos? There aren't very many colors that go with green. Most of the frame colors (blue, white, green) have all been done before. The thing is I want this Tecate to be hers.. and to be different than the rest.

Why not get a tecate motor? Too much powerfor her? But I definitley agree with you regarding staying with a kawasaki motor. And you could do a blue frame.

Have you considered a de-bore sleeve for that cylinder?

I didn't think they made the 200cc sleeves or cylinders anymore. I wouldn't mind finding a Selvy's 200cc cylinder. I had a friend in high school that had a Selvys 200cc tecate. He gave it to a friend of ours who then parted it out. I did get the CEET seat off of it though.

What a shame about that Selvy's T3 getting parted away. Good score on the CEET though! I have seen a few de-bore kits out there for the T3, although it has been a few months since the last one I saw. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Have you talked with the guys at L.A. Sleeve. I've had good luck getting hard to find stuff through them.Might be worth a shot!?!

Hey dcreel I just saw this on ebay and thought it might interest you. This guy has two Wiseco de- bore piston kits. Here's the links.

Great find.. I guess I would need to find a sleeve to be able to use the pistin and rings.. hmmmm..

Do a monster energy design in pink get pink monster "M" decals for the tank and fenders. Its what I want to do with mine except black and green monster. Just a thought. I know that WPS sells the debore kits and pistons and stuff the tecate. You have to know someone with a WPS account or jump through their hoops for one but its a cool parts source. So is Parts Unlimited and K&L.

Just got home with #3. It's in great shape. Everything is there but the motor, carb, front tire, and plastics. The wife is stoked to start her build. I have a motor too, I just need to get the money to pick it up. 8 hour car ride, and I'm so happy to be home. Got pulled over for 85 in a 75 and got a warning. Woot!! Anyways the frame is in perfect shape. No breaks or bends. Radiator looks great. Rear carrier is beat up, but thinking about a +4 round tube swinger with the 400EX carrier. Anyways.. Had to take it apart to get it in the Fit.

And a pic of my 93 KX125 front brake

Great start to a project. Nearly all of my machines have been built from piles, and that's how i like it. How did you locate it so far away? And from what state?
