anyone know if the CDI box from an 85 will work on an 84. i noticed the 85 part # is 21119-1166 and the 84 is 21119-1074. all the plugs on the 85 cdi look the same but the box it's self is almost twice the size of the 84's.

I did it the opposite monster3, tested the 84' on the 85' to see if it worked (for 1badtecate4), and it did. I didn't notice the differences in size, lol, so I may not be of much help, sorry, lol- Robby.
if you run an aftermarket pipe the 85 box almost touches it. thats why I put 84 cdi on 85. I can't imagine heat being too good for them
thanks guys, if its to close to the pipe i might just make a bracket to move it away a little. just looking at it, it looks like the mountig hole patern is a little wider so i might have to make a bracket anyway.
