i finally got off my and decided to build a pan for my 82 250R aka (ass crusher) old setup was used only for ice racing duct tape cover and 1 1/2 inches of foam... not so good on the trails.. plus its fugly man this pan was way past rotted out
picked up some supplies made a new plate for the rear fender mount bracket... i cut off front mounts and re worked them a bit... then i shaped and wrapped the oldpan in foil and foil tape so the resin would release covered the fender with a trash bag.. and set the old pan on fender.. bolted the front and rear fender mounts on & started glassing heres the new pan once it was off the form and i started classing in several more layers for strength
heres the finished product here it is on the fender now im just waiting for my foam and cover to arrive i dont think it will win any beauty contests but it turned out dam good for a first timer ....
Nice job Menace!
what did you end up using to fasten the seat cover? the stock metal one had lil triangular hooks to secure the cover. just staples into the fiberglass under the foam?
