    Hello Guys,
The cap and seals seem good. What would cause this. Is the spring weak as it gets hot. Its a 16 lb cap
It worked fine last fall when I parked it, this spring it leaks after about 4-5 minutes of riding.
Any input is cool - Matt

I would start by changing the cap. If you have a pressure tester you can test the system that way to find any leaks. You either have a weak cap or there is pressure getting from the cylinder to the cooling system. Or your cooling system isn't up to the task of keeping it cool anymore due to water pump failure or something.

if you need a cap, you can buy one for a 6 cylinder ford explorer. same cap, just not as expensive as an oe cap. fyi. 98-2000 explorer.

mine did that too. Head gasket was out. Did it twice on me, I think the sleeve i had put in might not be perfectly flush with the top.
