Won't have a runnin' roller anytime in the near future.

What a mess. I do not think this motor is any good especially with this many leaks. Fuel petcock; pisses out gas & runs all over motor. Carb; turn on the gas and watch it flow out the overflow tube. Radiator; noticed it had been bent badly, lower left-hand mount is cracked loose- water runs out. Brake master cylender; drips, from elbow to resevoir. Oil plug to chang oil; won't tighten, didn't push it to much, but I know why everything on the bike was greasy. motor won't start & I got a manual that I have yet to find anything helpful, for real, the manual didn't help with electrical, and has squat on carb. At least I have a cleaned up roller to start with, but this couldn't have ran when taken apart. I'll contact John who sold it to me & mabee he'll work on it a bit, or know what's up, shucks, I wanted to ride it so badly!

Try to snug up the bolts on the petcock to stop that leak. Did you try to clean the carb? It sounds like your float is stuck letting the gas come out the overflow. I have 2 radiators that leak out of the bottom left hand mount. Try some rtv silicone on the drain plug. Did you check for spark? Your Tecate is looking great. It's just a matter of time.

    Hey,
what kind of paint did you use? Did you use a gun, or spray paint out of a can?

Yup, I'll be patient. What you mentiond I ponderd'. Metal epoxy/black rtv on radiator? Get some carb dip. Petcock rebuild kit. Teflon tape, make two cork gaskits; oil plug. Wire and connectors + wire grease and re-wire. Rear master cylendar make a gasket or rtv that seal. Used engine enamel to paint, Chevy orange, grabber green & aluminum + engine enamel clearcoat. It takes 7 days to cure. Rocky here it's easy to tape off and touch up, lot's of sandpaper, wire wheels, and steelwool though. Single dad with 2 kids so pretty tight budget. Tinkerd' with it for a few hours, wants to turn over badly, just won't. I really love this bike, like I said, put it completely together without manual, looked at pictures on our group, it was self explainatory. Don't care what anyone says, the basic engineering is excellent on this 3-wheeler. Have the seat shaved & shortened dog bone soon. 18-20" tires, paint the front forks dcreel green (grabber) when I do the hub bearings. Thanxs dcreel.

I hear you on the tight budget. We're on a furlough for another month and don't have enough money to do anything. :-)
