Posted this in trikesylvania, but I think too early in morning and got skipped over. Tried to remove stator with a unversal flywheel uller and was unsuccessful. Found 200x specialty tools through denniskirk. Where would I find a flywheel puller (85') #57001-259 & #57001-1016. Appearently whoever put in a new stator didn't tighten down the back plate bolts, so I'm excited I'll be able to mabee ride my Tecate this summer, rather than a long term project.
I bought the MOTION PRO case splitter for my cases, but I also used it on my stator as well to remove it.
Thanks mudbogger. Wow, I looked up several, I did not realize the cost. Plus a new stator around $250. With the puller well over $400 fix, ouch! Shucks, I'm back to long-term project or mabee figuring hardware that may work for buddy's. What about a steeringwheel puller, seen a blog on another site and they suggested that for a kx 125 to split the case, anyone ever tried that?
rickystator.com sells flywheel and stator for around 125$ each that is what i am using on my bike, but i had local shop pull my flywheel.
