I'm just about finished with my resto and was wondering if anyone knows about how this trike compares to other race trikes and quads? i have 295cc big bore with DG pipe, DG muffler and V FORCE reeds plus to much more to list.
Well , first I love the Tecate's but had to have a 250R as well. My 250R with a Paul Turner motor runs as quick as a 2002 CR motocross bike and that haulin. I'm sure your 295 is real powerful... all these mod machines are fast and there's always someone faster. As long as you can rip a 200 ft power slide at any speed your good to go. my tecate 85 is stock except for exhaust for now. It's fast enough
Now I only know that my 85' kxt pulls extremely hard, so hard that after I rod it for about an hour, the plate in my arm hurts. Also I'm only around a 125# so this trike is fast & powerful with me on it. But I've read on this, and other sites, that they mop the floor with 660-700 raptors. And also have seen video, only thing that really challanges this trike was a banshee. Course' anything can be built, but I think right out of the box not much can compare. I have a $400 trike that can eat a $9000 quad. If the 250r's (which I love) weren't produced 20 to 1 in the 80's, I think alot more kxt's would be in the winners circle.
well thats nice to hear, the is my first 2 stroke trike. i had 2 honda 200x's and they were nice but still a slug in a way. so im anxious to get this bike out and rip it up a little. just sold my 05 kx 250 and with me only weighing 135# it would everything but throw me off, so if this is even close i will be happy.
Should be fairly close to your KX.
well theres no comparing a 200x to a tecate.... just be ready for the gut wrenching power and speed of the t3 is all i can say. hands down most badass trike i have ever owned.
Can hardly wait to ride this thing, waitin for my new lower profile seat then i'll be ridin.
