True..I have never ran intake windows on mine...My cylinder has full mod porting also case ported. The intake is huge so the holes in the piston arent really needed.
I own three of those pistons, same number except for the bore size, mine 77.50.....they arent the same. Round is round, thats simple. 1- Intake windows need drilling, 2- the timing edge and the end of the piston just above the ring land needs to be beveled as the stock Tecate piston at 17 degrees. This has been researched extensively, its a no brainer. If your piston is exactly the same, then someone machined it for you prior to you having the piston. Wiseco and WSM watercraft pistons are the same as well.....they need machining. If it worked for you that way....then that is cool, dont touch a thing. I'm just trying to explain something that I know the "Facts" about to help anyone who wants to know and do it the right way!
So what big bore kits are available?
To get a big bore....the easiest way is to take a kx250 or kxt250 virgin cylinder, send it to US Chrome and have it bored to 76 mills and re-plated! This will give you 295 cc's. The pistons come from numerous water crafts, the numbers shoild be here on the forum Then contact Cometic gaskets for a custom head gasket......this should get you started!
So what about the 310 and 330 kits? Are those kit achievable on a 85 t3 ?
