I've been trying to figure out an excuse to get to Pittsburg for a few monts to get that 84 (saw it on Craigs List) it is nothing shot of beautiful, if by chance you get a case of buyers remorse get ahold of me...

Interesting story. The guy I bought it from had it for 5 years and only road it around the yard once a year. He bought it from his neighbor who purchased it new when he was in his late 40's. He and his brother bought matching T3's but he had no idea what he was buying and parked it in his heated garage until he sold it to the guy I bought it from. The guy I bought it from denied about 4 or 5 kids who tried to buy it bc he didn't think they respected it like it should be and he was worried about them hurting themselves or destroying it. The tires still have the stripes on it and it has every original part and sticker still on it. Btw it starts on the first kick. Also, i have been burned by a couple guys. This was one of the few times I made out. What do you guys think a trike like this is worth?

It was well worth thie listed asking price (maybe X2) if you ask me, I literally had to force myself to pay the mortgage and make a truck payment instead of driving to Pittsburg, I think you got the best deal on a Tecate since they ran out of new ones in 87, alot of people would disagree with me, but I would rather have that than the crated 250R.

I agree with Huffie. 40,000 liquid R's were produced in 85' & 86'. We don't know the exact amount of A/1, A2's, but it is considerably less. dsherbone, don't mean to tell a feller his business, but that's not a daily, mountain trike. Needs to be rode a bit, but preservation is a big key, and that's just how I feel, doesn't mean I'm right. But that gem is worth collectors money in my opinion, and please keep it in our community. If you ever decide to sell it (and I don't know how much you paid for it), you will have a nice financial reward for you efforts. You are the man now, you have one of the mint (est?) Tecates on the planet known of. Congratulations my friend...... Yup, I don't like you, too jealous (LOL!) Oh, and I am glad your ship came in. I understand buying a trike and it turns out to be sour underneath, so I can honestly say I am very happy to see you found that treasure. -Robby.

very nice t3! there was 1 aat Tf for sale for 1200. it was unreal. it was red but to see it in person was amazeing. i d say it was in the same origanal condition. he wanted 1200 for it. he ended up tradeing it for a 85 r. i found a 85r about 6 years ago that was all origanal with very low hours and the nicest 85 r i have ever seen . we picked it up for 1400. what a steal. just shows that these machines are still out there. hopefully if u do decide to sell it you will get more than you payed for it. . great score !

Don't worry. This will not be destroyed. Bike is in the process of being detailed and stored in climate controlled building.

I will let you guys know if I decide to sell or look to trade it. I might be willing to trade it for the custom flattracker in the group photo.

I also have an 86 T3 that I will be selling soon. Very nice trike.

Let me know if you are interested.
