It looks like a stock swingarm that was extended. But they did a really really good job of extending it. You can just barely see where it was cut and extended. Looks like a good deal.
I thought it was a good deal aswell, which is why I bought it. I had a few questions for seller before I did but I knew it wouldnt last long for that price. It should be here today along with a banshee shock and good rear master cyl i picked up off him. Its almost time for the tear down!
That swingarm used to be mine and all those parts listed. I sold that Tecate to the guy pretty cheap because he gave me some story about always being into 3 wheelers and wanted a tecate really bad. I gave him a good deal on the bike and he parted it out the next day!! Pissed me off. Its a stock one extended 3 inches and the brake line is from lonestar. You got a good deal
Wow what a douche move on his part. At least the parts I bought are going to a good home. How did that setup (swinger/banshee shock) perform when you owned it ?
It worked great. I weigh 205 and it handled me no prob. I got tired of having the tecate shock blow and needed something a lil stiffer anyway with the exteneded arm so I threw that on there. The rebound was a little slow on it and you will loose about .5 inch of travel because the shock is shorter. You will have to mount it upside down with the resivour facing the back. A good thing about it is that there are lots of spring options available for the banshee shock. On the rear master cylinder I remember that the black bladder gasket where the cap is was starting to disinigrate so I would get it replaced before using it. The swingarm I just spraypainted white and was starting to peal a bit so might want to give it a fresh coat of paint.
The parts came in yesterday. Whoever extended the swinger did very nice work. I see what you mean about the bladder gasket disinigrating, and it will be replaced, other then that its in really nice shape. Thanks for the info!
