I think there is a serious lack of humor on this thread.... clearly the knuckle head didn't realise it was bent, nor did the powder coater. My guess is that if the guy had spent most of his time around frames for two wheelers, it may not have looked too wrong to him. But, even if he did notice and was going for the "upwards swoopy look", he is still a Tool either way! In my eyes he's more of a tool just by saying that he was going for that look...... ha ha ha Yes the powder coating is screwed, the silencer won't match, the plastic won't fit, the seat cover will crease, the riding position will be wrong, he is asking too much for it, and the end product will just look wrong. But we are missing the whole point. Here we are presented with a classic case of stupidity, and you blokes are getting bummed out by it. Don't stress fellas, you can't help stupid. What we can do though is have some fun at his expense, how about someone add another top ten reason so I can have a giggle....
I know this thread is old but I just came acrossed it. I have an 84 with the frame modified the same way. I didnt do it, but everything fits and actually works pretty well to bring the seat up little. Its actually more comfortable to ride than my 85 but I don't think I will be hacking the frame to match the 84 anytime soon
