Hi Chris, thank you for your reply. I don't know the brand name of the paint, I went to the powder coater shop with one of the fork outer pipe to compare with catalog samples and I decided to choose the "Golden Pearl" color. It seemed to me that was the closest to OEM specifications. About my question, I also think that they are as you described, but analyzing the axle and the flange/holder it seems to me that they also have some yellow zinc, although almost not notice. If is not asking too much, when you get a chance please show me some pictures of your tecate.
this is amazing the exact way they did it
Chris, I'm still with some doubts about the rear axle, can you please show me some pictures of your original tecate?
If anyone else has photos of the rear of an original 84 tecte model, and if can post it, that will be truly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
The rear axle is zinc coated with a yellow chromate tint to it. Here is a pic of a NOS stock rear axle.
Thank you for the picture Bryan, but Im still with some doubts. The hub's, disc holder, sprocket, sprocket flange and lock nuts are also finished with that yellow chromate that you refer? I'd really like to see a picture of a complete rear of a original tecate, but i've already searched everywhere, and I can not find.
