I Have a 1985 big red and the plastic lever on the handle bars to adjust the choke broke and i cant find a new 1 if anybody could point me in the right direction id appreciate it
have you tryed ebay??? most parts like that are close to the same thing as a 250sx if you cant find one for a big red.
Yup eBay is prolly your best option, if you look hard enough you can find a good deal on one. Start your search with ATC250ES controls or ATC250ES choke 85-87 are all the same like Bryan said ATC250SX should be identical 85-87.
the 88 trx 300 fw will work you it has a different plug u will have to rewire I did it on my 85 and its cheap on ebay like 40 for a new switch
the 87 trx250 would probly be the same as the big red

I have a lever but it's impossible to get it out of the whole switch, I would sell it to you but the switch is bad
well today I received my new choke cable and new plunger kit and I cant get it to work. The cable on it before was in need of a replacement. The choke switch will not stay on choke as soon as I slide it over it goes back. Its really not a big deal it will start when I put in on choke and hold for a while but it will need to work when it gets cold. Anyone know what I need to do the old choke did the same I thought this would fix it
my choke does the same thing, wont stay in the choke position, just slides back over unless you hold it, which doesnt bother me
at least you wont foget and try to drive with it on lol
