Hi I hope you guys can help out I have a 1983 Honda atc250r , I bought this off some one who had rebuilt it about a year ago , it is road legal and I have only been out a few times this year , however I seem to be getting a slipping/ surge problem when I accelerate up and in each gear from 1st up. I've done the simple stage of clutch cable but after that I'm at a loss after various searches it seems to point to clutch plates or gear cog worn, before I start this expensive replace or putting it in the repair shop has any one out there had the same issue or problems in this area and how did you sort, please help!!!!
Yep, similar problems with my 83 atc 185 powered by a 200s motor it is the clutch plates, my 350x is gonna meed the same thing done to it soon, hope this helps, does it slip out of gear or anything weird?
