    350x front sprocket

On my last ride with the 350x, I had to do an emergency front sprocket replacement (don't ask). Anyway, it was a Saturday and I wanted to ride and all the honda shop had was a front sprocket for a 200x (according to the label). The splines were right, it was 13 teeth (stock) and the chain pitch was right. SOLD! For reference, it was a Moose JTF1352-13.

However, my question is concerning the thickness of the sprocket. The new sprocket was thinner than the original. The old sprocket had extra material on the side to make it thicker. I'm guessing this is to handle the extra torque of the bigger motor on the 350x.

Should I order the proper 350x "Official" front sprocket (now that I'm not in a time crunch), or just run the Moose? It worked fine for the weekend, but I'm worried about long term damage to the splines on the output shaft due to not enough material engagement between the sprocket and shaft.

And advice or opinions would be appreciated!

I'd get the right one. The 350x's are known for stripping the countershaft.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

the sunstar trx 250r are the front sprockets to use on a 350x.

they are the thickest made (2 steps) and you can go up to15t.
