    =Yamaha DX 225= Engine Transplant

    Hi

Not sure if any body can help, but I am looking to fit a bigger 4 stroke engine to one of my Yamaha Trikes (DX225), maybe around 500cc. Does any body know of any old engines that would be an easy fit - or would it be a no go'er?!

    Thanks

    David

Good luck! There aren't any bike here in the US that would be even close. Most of the shaft drive bike motors are multi cylinder making them much bigger.

Good luck stuffing a 500 cc in your 225dx frame. If you really want to put a big engine in your 225, it would need to cut the frame and convert it to chain drive. In my opinion it is not worth it.
