    250R e-brake cable compatability

    My dad bought an '85 250R and it has no parking brake cable. Do cables from earlier years (83-84) fit on this one as well, or are they different?

    why do you want it? When adjusted, it just wears your brake pads. Most people remove it. It also requires use of the oem clutch lever, that isn't exactly good either.

    We have the OEM clutch perch. And without the cable it just flaps back and forth, it'd just be nice to have it to make the bike original. There are some on ebay, but I just don't know what is compatible with the '85.
