I started running Turf Tamers on the track, because everybody else was running them, but like you, I find that they hook up way too much on the track, on a trike. They work great on a quad though! Ive also entered the search for the right track tire for a trike, that will allow you to break it loose in the corners. The best I have ever run is the Dunlaps I am running now. This is not because they are a great tire, but because the knobs are rounded and worn out. They are supposed to be a flat profile tire, but look rounded because they have been squeezed on to 6" wide rims. They have worked great and even allow me to holeshot well without wheelieing. So I guess my answer would be, the best track tire for a trike is a flat profile tire some guy has decided is too worn out to run on his quad any longer. The other option I had considered but never tried (Im too cheap) was using a flat track style tire such as Duro HF245 or something like that.

not on a 350X. out of all the tires i've tried on a 350X i like them the best these are the tires i compared them to:

    turf tammers
    all-tracks
    fast treckers
    buckshot mudders
    rawhide 3
    whooly boogers and copies
    stock 85/86 250R
    hole shots
    razors
    domminators
out of all these ( and i few i'm sure i forgot) the 20" vipers were the best all-around tire for me in my conditions. they don't slide as well as some but the traction (hillclimbs/ mud ect) they get is great and i like to rail turns more then sliding when i'm in the woods.

Tim Sr. you must have misread i love how turf tammers slide and the forword traction is acceptable. i was just trying to find out about some of the new tires that our out i haven't tried yet. turf tammers are one of my favorite tire.

oh and by the way, about your choice of tires, i know who to call when i sell my used tires. they might have too much tread for you when you first get them but they'll be close to how you like them.

There not on your list but the Bandits XC's on my SX slide and seem to grab just right, but lets not sugar coat it - it barely has the horsepower to lift the front on a dry surface with slicks! However they wear like iron and are as tough as nails. The Dirt Devils I also run do not slide worth a sh!t and look like there gonna wear out fairly quick. Soon as the 250R is up and running I'll be happy to try both on that and give a report - in the mean time just forward those turf tamers to me for complete accurate testing!

    Bill.

Have you ever tried the OHTSU MR501 radial on a 350X? I put a set on mine, and really like them for a all around knobby. Since they are 20" tires, I replaced the 13 on the front with a 14
