Hello to all , i was wondering what i should look for before a would purchase a big red anything in particular bad with those trike a guy from Edmonton , Canada is selling a big red 85 and he says he hes the original owner the trike looks goods what should i look for on it mechanicaly

check the differential oil they are notorious for getting water in the rear end

Check for just your basic stuff. If it looks like a sh** pile then you probably want to stay away unless you have cash to burn. Make sure it starts up and shifts thru all the gears. Check the diff fluid, no unusual knocks or noises etc. Thats pretty much it. If it looks good then it has prob been well maintained.

Generally speaking, we've found that original owner machines are infintely better cared for than the ones that have been passed around.
