    Did you weld the case? It sounds like a bad ground to me.
    The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

    I tried looking for the ground on the frame, but could not see it, i really didn't have the time, so ill have to look tomorrow, where is it located?

    When i went back like an hour later to check some more things, i got a different reading off of the same 2 wires for the kill switch... ODD

    No i never had it welded just did the JB weld for now, trying to save some cash flow...

    the ground is under the tank ... it is bolted along with the coil

    Naw, i had the whole family thing going on all weekend, it was one thing after another, so ill be taking a look see tomorrow some time!! I saw the ground screw and it looked fine other then being dirty, but i had no issues with it running before i took it apart... Im getting very irritated! This isnt my first time fixing my machines either

    Well i retested everything and the only thing that does not check out as far as ohm readings go is the stator... According to the manual it is supposed to read betweek 100-400ohms and mine read 000.1ohms....

    That would mean its bad right? Everything else is in spec range, but how would this go bad just being unplugged and set aside to fix the hole in the case, and this would cause a loss of spark right?

    Well before i lost spark, nothing other then the stator when i took the side cover off to fix the hole in the case, and make a new gasket, but i was super extra careful of the stator when i took it off... I never got the fly wheel off so i didn't touch anything behind that...

    Since then i have tested every electrical connection and quadruple checked there all fine, only unhooked them one at a time so i know those are all fine, and the readings were good on everything but the stator, that was supposed to be between 100-400ohms and only read 000.01ohms...

    Do you think something could have "worked loose" inside the stator like all those small wires that are wrapped around it etc etc...?

    it's possible. whenthey die, they jsut quit. i had a stator die on the middle of a trail once. that's a tuffy to troubleshoot on the trails let alone fix. lol.

    Do i need to replace the whole stator or would it be just the "stator primary coil" which is located inside the stator with the other ones?

    the exciter coil is about $20 shipped ... not a huge deal ..... pull the fly wheel and solder it in

    Well after careful sober inspection of the stator again, i realized that the "primary stator ignition coil" inside the stator is defiantly fried out, at least i feel better knowing what the issue is, now to buy another one :-)
