    Powder-coating question

I'm new to this site. Has anyone ever tried to modify a house oven to powder-coat a frame? If so, any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks.

House ovens are too small to do a frame. Anyone on here that has been ambitious has built their ovens by hand. Do a search on the "search" word above about powdercoating ovens and you should find a thread by a member showing how he custom built his oven. If I remember right he took the heating elements out of several ovens and made his own booth. Welcome to the site and have fun cruising around seeing all the info available on here. Get into that search area above and have a good time. Sit down and pour yourself your favorite beverage and have some snacks ready and do some searching and reading.

Maybe Vealmonkey is referring to me.??? Anyhow, here 's a few links to my oven and PC stuff. Quite a few members here are doing PC for their own personal builds. It's very rewarding to have done it all yourself at the end of a restoration.
My oven pics are on page 6 of the first link. Good luck with your PC endeavors!

My 2 cents is if you are only doing one it may be more cost effective and less time consuming to have someone else do it. I had my frame blasted and coated for 120 bucks

I do my own as well. Powdercoating that is. At $120 dollars thats just retarded cheap. It takes a solid 2 + hours to even blast a frame properly. Then it should be zinc primered if its done correctly to insure that it does not rust from inside out. Then powdercoated. Not including the cost of the powder. At $120 that guy is wasting his time...Good for you though.
