    I believe this picture appeared in an ATV mag shootout issue in 86?

    Someone here has to know the webpage that has the comparison of the three 250s and will be kind enough to post it for all to read again.

    the guy on teh tecate probrably just fell off or had a really hard wreck and fell waaaaayyyyyy behind and is now re-blowing by everybody :-P

    They started in 82 ha, maybe thats why the tri-z stayed yellow longer than the yz line. I personally love the yellow yamahas.

    He means exactly what he said.

    In the mid 80's Yamaha YZ's in the US switched from a yellow and black color scheme in 84 to a White & Red scheme in 85. YZ's over-seas were red & white before 84.

    The 85 Z was kept yellow and black even though the 85 YZ's were red & white. Until the special edition red and black Z came out.


    I too love the old yellow and black yamahas! I recently saw a late model YZ with yellow plastic, black seat, and a graphics package that looked like the old black and white "film strip" looking stripe that yamaha used in the early 80s. It was pretty cool!
