Or no brakes and someone was down shifting to stop. It might be a good thime to check the rear diff out.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

all the brakes work good, but he had been pulling it with something and dropping it in gear to start. thats prob what snapped it. would it do any good to weld this one back together to have as a spare?

first drain the fluid from the bottom plug into a glass or clear container and look for metalic sparkles or metal flaks or chunks. if none, then you can take a light, open the center cap (fill cap) and look inside to see things are ok or rusted up. if rusted up, tale appart of clean full with good oila dn your good.

gotcha, thanks . i need to drain the oil and check it for particulates. i already looked in the fill cap . everything inside looked real clean. the reason i looked in there real good is cause in another thread i heard the horror stories of people taking the fill cap off and water pouring out.
