Talking Where do we find "OTHER" part numbers??

I'm just curious if any of you guys know where to find "oddball"part numbers??

    Such as:

    - 89 259R clutch update kit (that one may be on the fiche, not sure though)

    - Cold start for a 250SX.

And the reason I even mention this, I called my stealership in regards to a 400EX clutch. They said "we have an OEM kit that has springs, fibers and steels" It's not shown on any diagram though??

I already did the clutch buying things individually and I may have saved another 10 or 20%. Of course I saved 40% from what my local dealership gets anyhow.

Sometimes the fiche will show a big circle and a part number for all those pieces but thats not the case with this 400EX. Nor can I find things like HRC kit part numbers and cold start and other what I would call "odd" part numbers.

I guess I could just call Pooh at Service Honda, but I just wondered if you guys knew where to find OEM part numbers that are not shown in a fiche without asking the parts counter guy that is sick and tired of quoting, yet not making any sales.

There has to be a way to find these numbers or maybe they have a special fiche? I thought we all had the same diagram though......

    Any input would be sweet

They quoted me 400$ for an OEM clutch installed on a 400EX, I charged a bit more than half of that for one installed. But I wondered if I could have saved him another 20$ give or take had I been able to find that kit........

any honda dealer has the listings, call up service honda. The normal stealership might not tell you the number or scratch it off the package when you get it. You same a good bit of money. Going for the clutch kit on my ktm dirtbike, saved me almost $60, over buying individual.

    Yeah it stinks.....

I could have saved him 30$ off the clutch kit.

I had the dealer quote me a clutch installation with parts and it was about 375$ so I saved the guy a small fortune anyhow, it's just the point.

I would have asked you Jeff, but I thought you dealt with more Yami than anything else.

    It's done, he's happy - adios........
