1984 honda 200s issue

hi everyone i am hoping someone can help me with my atc issue. on my 1984 Honda 200s if your driving along and let off the throttle it still wants to go even after you let off, it's not doing it aggressively but it's still wanting to go. i am not sure what could be causing it as i know only a little about Atvs/ATCs. in a possibly unrelated issue it also does not like to sit and idle it will stall if you don't hit the gas every 30 seconds or so. any help would be appreciated.

Take the carb off and clean it with some carb cleaner, pull the slide off and the bowl and clean the jets real good.

This is usually caused by a worn carb slide or a partially clogged idle jet . Once you clean the idle jet it will probably be idling high and will have to adjust the idle screw down a bit .

thanks for the information guys learning a bit every time i play with this stuff. hopefully i will get a chance soon to tinker with it. If this Carb slider thing is damaged can you order a replacement or do you have to get a new carb?
