    Timing question?

I don't think the ignition timing is 100% correct on my 1984 200ES. Can the timing be advanced by rotating the ring under the cdi cover? If so would counterclockwise be advance and the opposite be retard? Cam timing is spot on with a new chain and guides.

yes it can be advanced or retarded that way. it should be in the middle with a slight (very slight) leaning to the left or counter-clockwise.

line up the F on your flywheel(right next to the T) and then line up the marks on the pick up coil and the spark advancer.
