my wife has little riding expirence so I'm needing the siftest riding abd easiest to ride trike. What do you guys recommend? I was thinking my 250sx when done may fit the bill, but not 100% sure.

I would suggest starting her off on a 110 or 125 until she gets the feel of it. Yes the 250SX is a nice machine - but they are heavy - narrow and are not the easiest trike to ride by far.

I'd get her something without a Honda engine so you can't touch it

I'm just playin Oscar, get her a nice lower displacement auto Honda and she'll be good. If she ends up not being comfy on a triangle, get her a similar auto <200CC quad and work with that

yea i was thinking of an auto-x. she isn't sure if she likes trikes or not. I'm thinking of getting this 200e ($150 with good bottom end but top end smokes) and redoing the motor and dropping that into it. that way she gets electric start and nice suspension. how hard is it to drop in a 200e on a 200x?

Its pretty strait forward other than the starter not clearing the frame. Nothin a torch and welder cant fix

I guess we can't asnwer that unless we know exactly how happy the marriage is.

If things are great never been better, love her to death, anything from 110 through 200 m, s or e.

If shes anything like my old lady, get her a nice just about ready to blow up 250r
If you can't fix it with a , its an electrical problem.

85 ATC 200s--Ratted out and not running at the moment

86 ATC 200x--All stock other than the handle bars

85 ATC 250es Big Red -- Just got new rubbers and she wants to ride!!

04 Suzuki LTZ250 quadsport - It was a decent price and I'm a raging idiot.

i have only ridden a 185s and a 225dxk ytm.. and the YTM handles 10x better. i can hit turns moving at a good speed and not have to lean to keep the bike down. the 185s will tilt on 2 wheels alot easyer. and the 225dx(dxk) is already semi auto. no hand cluch. im not sure on any 1 elses experience. but my YTM is not easy to roll unless your looking too. plus its got the balls to back it up when she gets more comfortable on them.
Looking for some smaller style tires like the r's have, just 2 back tires. pm please.

I x2 on the 200s with some widened out rims and 25 ballon tires.

I know I rode one of seadoos the other weekend and it was a tank, VERY stable and easy to use.

Stay away from a manual clutch I would.

I am going through this with my wife ... she hasn't rode before but she is excited about it so I built her a auto-x and hoped for the best .... its been really scary so far . She can't start it due to the fresh top end , she doesn't really "get " the shifting thing , she isn't competitive So going ridding with our friends is pretty much out for a long time because she isn't interested in keeping up and we need to get out in a open field and ride where she doesn't need to worry about obstacle's. I wish I had started her on a sx for the electric start and easier gear box and more weight (more solid feal) just my .02
