    200e carb leak - PLEASE HELP ME!!

    Ok, well most of the other issues seem to be fixed...

    Got her running normal again i believe, but its leaking gas out of a hole in the side of the carb that has nothing hooked to it, looks like a hose comes out of it according to the manual i pointed it out in the picture im attaching

    Can someone please please tell me what this hole/hose is for where it goes and why its leaking gas unless the tank is turned off... there was nothing attached to it when i got the bike...




    Also... It seems that the carb is filling up and coming out the side and flooding out the engine, i have to dry out the plug to start it again if i run it at more then idle... if it only idles it starts every time, but if i drive it, it floods out...

    its an overflow your needle and seat is wore or has junk in it making the float stick. take the bowl off remove the float and needle(the needle in the seat not the slide) and use compressed air to blow everything out

    Or your float is not shutting off the flow of gas from the tank.

    Its all cleaned and blown out, how do i adjust the float, its all plastic? The need sits all the way down in the seat until the float comes up a bit then it opens, but is this how its supposed to function?

    when it opens gas can come through to fill the bowl. the easiest way to test it is is hold the carb upside down and blow through the gasline. if no air can escape untill you lift the float then its sealing

    ya should be good. if its leaking out the top drain, it should be coming out the bottom drain too. might want to check your fuel filter. it could be gone/ripped letting crap into the float seat.

    Well for some reason the needle is seating properly now, and everything seems to be good, no more gas leaks, now for the new non-bent sprocket and to fix the multiple oil leaks and maybe just maybe ill be able to drive this hunk of before hunting season starts...

    that is NOT an overflow, that is a vent for the fuel lineonly.

    the overflow is on the bottom. it's just a vent to help the fuel flow more smoothly is all. some had the hole drilled some did not. if yours is not drilled, then don't need the hose. eariler carbs had a drilled hole and then later ones did not as Honda relaized it really was not needed and caused more issues that it helped.

    Yea i realized it after i read your post... I know the overflow is on the bottom, glad to know its a vent though, it has stopped leaking out there and has not done it again in the last 2 days...

    Now to fix this annoying oil leak... And to figure why my plug keeps having to get wiped off each day before it starts...
