Have you pulled the caps off the rocker cover? Do this, and see if the rockers move. there should be a little play in them as you turn the motor over. If you get the motor at TDC, they should both be able to be moved up and down by finger but not much, about .003 in. if you would use a feeler guage. Does the motor still kick over? Does it seem there is still compression? Spark? Getting gas/ petcock on the "on" position? There is a possibility the valve could have smoked the piston and bent the valve if the rockers were set too tight. Good luck, and fill us in with a little more detail so we can help you out.
