I didnt realize how much work she needed until I tore her down. but i'm up to the challenge. after new oil, gaskets for the crankcase covers and the bolts that were broke, im going to move on to swingarm bearings and then she should be a decent rideable bike. but the work never ends.

Couldnt help but notice you put your cam in dry??? You should really put some cam grease on that before you turn it over....

bump. Anyone know if i should tighten that bolt?
"Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder"
i think it holds the centrifigul clutch on and is supposed to be staked as well

what does staked mean? sorry if that sounds dumb

theres a little knotch on the shaft and you are supposed to pound in the thin part of the nut so it doesnt come loose thats the way it is on the 200's

looks like a 85 250es with a 250sx engine black? or just paint
the engine was spray-bombed by the P.O while it was still in the bike, and he sprayed it over the oil and dirt, so It looked like garbage. the top end and side covers is what I painted myself correctly.

no that nut is not staked. any more ideas? It wasnt even hand-tight. im thinking it should be tightened because there is nothing stopping the nut from vibrating right off.

some updates. got the top of the forks off and realized it was missing two bearings and thats why it had so much play. replaced those. sandblastd them and painted them black. should be a bit of a change from all red. The parts are soon going to be in so she should be up and running this week.
