Red 84 Tecates aren't very rare. Red 85 Tecates are rare. Having a red Tecate makes it funny when people ask you if its a Honda.

The day I got it in 1988

January of this year before the rebuild

Now its green and my 85 has the red plastic
    Rides:

This bike was a barn find in Northern Az. I got it from my dad, made a few bucks profit and sold it to a guy in Alaska... he said its really hard to find nice bikes up there, So I am glad it went to a good home... But I DO MISS IT, it was WAYYYY faster than my 250R

Vegas250R.. That's a real clean Tecate. ScottZJ. Do you have any pictures of your new tecate? Does it have any goodies on it?

Well the only ones I have right now, are the pics from the craigslist ad. James (becker) picked it up for me Sat and now has it as his place. He will get some pics of it soon and post them. It is a barn find, that was sitting up for 20 years. The guy even thru in a nice set of maier red plastics too. Just needs electrical replaced and a rear shock, as it has a solid strutt on it right now.
