The other day a buddy of mine was asking about an oil filter on his 200x. He is not very engine smart and thought of him. I thought of other people like him and thought it would be nice if someone did a write up on this. Maybe even a pic of the right way to install it.

200x doesn't have an oil filter. Well not what I think of when I think traditional oil filter. It has a rotor thingy that seems goofy to me. This is for the 83-85 200x. Not sure about the 2nd gen.
Here is a pic of mine when I had my engine apart. There wasn't much gunk to clean out of there.

Nice link crazy70man. That will help my buddy out very much. Last time he tried to change the oil he had to lift the trike straight up and used the hole in the back. When he asked me about it, I said use the side hole and check the filter while you are at it...theres a filter and another drain plug...
