    1983 250r

    so i grew up on big reds and i have a 84 200es that is a great workhorse. i just came across a 1983 250r that is not running that someone is selling. what do you guys think that its worth? ill try to post a picture. i dont know what they are asking for it yet, but i hope to know soon. what should i look for when i go see it. i will try to see if the engine will turn over and such but are their any gurus out their that know what to look for? thanks

    I had a guy trying to sell me at R for $1000 up here in Ontario that looks in that condition. seeing as yours does not work, looks like its in bad shape and you are in Southern USA, I would guess maybe $250-$350 for the bike.

    By the looks of it the price will be cheap. Under $300 would be a nice price to pay for a project like that. If the engine turns and seems smooth, it will probaly run. it looks like it was rode hard and put away neglicted. I would check to see if the shifter,and kickstarter have been welded on also welds or cracks to the frame. it looks like it will be a total tear down and rebuild. Just remeber you can find that trike in decent shape for around $1000. If you do get it and fix it you will like it. They are a blast to ride.
