I have one on a 83 200s. They are loud, it is as loud as my 200x with the DG pipe. It is nice that it runs between tire and frame instead of through the frame. http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/u...terwash011.jpg http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/u...terwash012.jpg

how long did it take for the paint to burn off of it? and is there a big power increase over stock (top, mid or bottom?)

Most of the factory finish was gone on mine. It was run maybe 1 hour after it was put on but it was covered in cow chit and parked in a pig barn. If the pipe you are buying is brand new the paint should last a few years. Mud that is left to cook on the pipe will take the paint off fast. If the pipe could use a coat of paint I have had very good results and long lasting( over 6 years and still perfect) with Rustoleom BBQ paint or a other high end heat paint. Flats last longer and stay nicer longer than the glossy finishes. If you rejet the carb if needed the pipe should look nice for a long time. Here is a pic of a 250r pipe that I redid with gloss. It had no rust but the finish was dull and missing alot of paint, came off a ice racer.

The power increase is very noticable in the bottom and midrange, but so is the noise.

    ATC 200 1981 Cobra Exhaust

Which exhaust system should I get for my 1981 Honda ATC200. I have had a very difficult week trying to figure out which model fits my 3 wheeler. I plan to have the money to order it in the next 5 days and I need to know what model to get. I want that version just the type that fits my bike. ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED!!! links etc...

Hi, on the topic of Cobra Exhaust and ATC 200's i was thinking about getting a Cobra Exhaust for my 83' ATC200e, what i would be paying (when i get the cash that is) is 154.99 plus tax At Royal Distributing and it says ATC 185 s/200 x/e, All years, Part # A02-085137, Price is 154.99 ( http://www.royaldistributing.com/mai...PageNumber=100 ). the reason why i was thinking of getting it is at K-W Honda, i got a quote of Around 181 something just for a muffler, no head pipe...and with my experience with them that's maybe before tax also!
