found a 350X, had to pass.

guy at the local swap meet has a complete 350X its a 86, white with blue seat. both brakes works. starts right up! He was proud of the fact that he's selling it with a title. As he was looking for a pencil to right his number, he shows me the title.
    1. not notarized
    2. its for a 85
    3. vin doesnt even come close
500 bucks for a running, driving, stopping 350X, I thought was a great deal. but, I really wouldnt want it with the questionable title. Jim

Yeah, you should have called the local police department with the VIN and had them run it. If its clean, jump on it. Who needs a title? Thats hard to pass up, but may have been for the best.

title, no title, who cares. somebody could have had to swap frames at one time. I would have bought it for that price.

Possibly had a broken frame at some point and doesn't realize replacing the frame renders the title useless. I'd snag it for $500 as long as it's not confirmed stolen. You can check the VIN online. Maricopa county has a site for it but I don't have the bookmark. Just google it.

A title matters in arizona now, you need a sticker so you can ride the public trails, no title=no plate or sticker from what I have read.

I dont even ride my 185 on the trails anymore because of the new laws. I have no title or bill of sale(it was a gift from a friend years ago). Im sure I could possibly get one,but im too lazy to look into it

creating a bill of sale and getting a title ain't exactly that difficult.

If I'm not mistaken, you could classify it as custom build, and title it that way.

I am original owner of an '85 350x. No title given back then but I do have original PA registration.

They make it a pain in the rear in Arizona. Even with a bill of sale you have to get a bonded title. Easiest way is to have someone from an easy title state get you one. Getting the AZ title once you have the out of state title is easy.

******* liberals moving into this state are ruining it.
