esr 250r kit

What is the difference between the 310 and the 330 bolt on kit that esr puts out. Sounds like the 330 kit needs the cases split and a long rod. I am wondering if it is a must to put the long rod in the 330 kit because i have heard both sides of the story, esr claims it needs the long rod, other people have said you dont need to.

I don't know about the ESR, but the CT racing 310 kit is a bolt on with no case boring required. The new 330 kit doesn't require case boring or long rod either.
