I used ATC 250R gaskets so everything is within factory specs. Almost everything on my R is OEM, the things that arent OEM were not put on it by me which is tires, air filter, handlebars, silencer, and a tether kill switch. I go with OEM cause in my opinion its best for it and my 250R is 90% original so thats my outlook on it, thanks MR ATC.

86 octane at stock bore n stroke 86 ATC250R Octane isnt only about compression, its mainly about heat. Cooler it runs, the less octane you need. But high comp does make it run hotter.

    Dont Forget Guys

I run 110 race fuel, and dont forget what race fuel does. It takes heat out of the motor, like Avation fuel draws heat to the motor. I run 110 race fuel w/ Dumounde Tech Caster 32:1 mixure

I've never ran any fuel additives in my two strokes.

I ran 92 Octane with Bel-Ray MC-1 or H1-R at 32:1 for years. A couple years ago, I started running 50:1. Now I'm running Blue Marble at 50:1. I run this in both my KXT and YTZ. You can bet I'll run the same in my R someday when I get her running!

There's a formula anyone can use to make their own race gas. I need to look it up again as I've been meaning to try it. It was in DirtWheels or DirtBike (or both). All these years, I never have tried it. You go to the pump and mix a certain amount of 87 octane with a certain amount of 92 octane. Add some octane booster and hello high octane race gas.

Maybe someone here has tried this or does this.

I was using octane booster additive, probably bringing it up to about 95, because MY 250R wanted it (pinging), and running it in everything else that didint need it, because I use the same 2 stroke can for everything, with MC1 at 50:1. Since I switched to Blue Marble at 50:1, my 250R is happy without the octane booster.
