    tri moto 175 piston bore

    im buying a new piston for my 175 tri moto and i found one that is .50mm overbore and the piston i took out has .020 on the top is this the right piston i need? thanks

    The cylinder should be mic'ed out to see if it is out of round from top to bottom or if it's out of spec for your current piston. Your cylinder may not need to be bored out to the next size. You may be able to get away with just re-ringing your piston. But you won't know if you don't check it or have it checked by someone. I would hate to see you spend unnecessary money that you didn't have to spend.
