    wheel stud removal

    Any tricks to getting the studs out of the hub. I am looking to put longer studs in for extenders.

    if you want to save them, put the lugnut on first to protect the threads...they are not cheap from honda...like 3 bucks each or so

    How about the studs that thread into a front hub? If you grab them with vise grips you will mess up the threads. Yeah using a rag around them helps but can still mess them up. How do you guys remove these?

    if youre talking about the studs for the brake rotor, you can pull em out and throw em out, and use bolts, or tighten 2 nuts against each other on the stud and put a 10mm wrench on the bottom nut and it should take the stud out.

    just did this the other night on my 200x... god ol thor removed them.. thor is my bfh mini sledge
    86 200x, 1st gen 200x axle,400ex hubs,fmf megamax2 muffler

    Three wheeler guys probably have the biggest balls out of all the ATV/Motorcycle riders. You just have to be a little twisted to ride them, and you have to be a great rider to do so.
