Hence the reason companies centered around toxic waste disposal stay in business. Make a million bucks a day, maximum fine of 50k a day.

yeah from what I read, theres no government imposed fine. The people that brought the suit won it on default because Pepsi was a no-show, even though some of its subsidaries (according to the article) were there, that was not enough. Its just like if you dont show up to court to defend yourself of something, you automatically lose.
these law suits are alot of what went wrong in this country. We need to join together and say no that doesn't make sence ...... oh well all great empires fall eventually
