So I've been watching and looking over all these build threads of "new" trikes and it really has me thinking of what it takes to do. So say I buy an '04 or '05 Honda CRF450R, I basically need to have wider triple clamps made for the wider front tire (do the stock forks and front brake work still?) What about caster angle? What needs to be modified if anything for proper caster? I would need a custom swingarm made, what axles work? I mean I am sure I could build the swingarm on whatever axle I wanted but is there one that works best (250r? 350x? etc). Can the rear shock still mount to the old subframe or does that have to built as well? I ask all these questions as I do not have a machine shop or anything other then basic tools so I would have to have all this stuff machined professionally or over at my friends shop. I have never ever attempted a project like this but would like to try. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

Also if you have personally done one of these conversions mind sharing what was the most difficult part? And specific road blocks you hit? Etc.
