    How much is too much??

I've got a buddy who said he would throw me a good price on re-finishing my 350x tank...
    I don't think $150 is a good price.
I still have to seal the tank and buy the decals to put on the tank.

    What do you guys think?

What all is involved? Does he have to strip and prep it? For a good job, I have paid that before. $150 for a decent paint job does not sound that bad.

i had more than double that into my tank before TF07. I let a buddy do it that worked in a body shop and he totaly screwed it up. I took it to a local body shop that does tons of custom paint. He had to strip the tank and remove the glass. he pounded the dents out and used as little glass as he could and then painted it black. he then wet sanded and buffed. The thing look amazing. Not a blemish in it. I had 400 bucks into that tank bcs he had a ton of work in it and i needed it in two days

How much would it normally cost to powder it? Never heard of powdercoating a gas tank.

Well if they make it look mine wiith all stickers on it and cleared over top, then thats a fair price. You could probably double your money back no it if you sold the tank alone. I have a couple bid red tanks like that.

Either have i, but hey its worth a shot... To give you an example i have a shop pcing my frame for 50$ so it shouldnt be any more than that. 175$ to blast and pc. But it should be alot cheaper.

Just had my painter do a base clear job on my BR tank, he stripped it and did the mud work, and painted it to perfection... 75 bucks and I threw in a case of beer!(and repainted my side covers too)
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!
