    Backfiring Issues

Hey guys I just sealed up my exhaust leak and now I have a pop coming from the exhaust after I've had a good full throttle run. Here's the deal, I had removed the air box lid while the bike had an exhaust leak because it was running poorly and since I sealed the exhaust, I had to put the lid back on to get it to run right. The bike runs great now except for the loud backfire. Could this still be a lean condition? The bike is an 85' 350x and I have the following mods: 400ex carb, 400ex header, and 450r silencer with stock tip. Jetting specs are: needle clip two notches above middle, 138 main, and stock settings for everything else. Any help would be awesome

What was the backfire caused by?
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.
