    ? ? Baked on mud removal ? ?

How am I supposed to remove the baked on mud from my engine? I'm guessing this engine has never been washed and the mud has been baked on there a few too many times. I washed it and scrubbed a little and this is what i have.

I've had to use my pressure washer a few times whenI pick up bikes like that but you just have to be careful not to hit the seals EXC.

try a product called orange blast from greased lighting... looks like this

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26um%3D1

i use it on everything!!! strong enough to clean car engines but soft enough to use on the cars paint. i have a white crown vic ex police car, and i use this stuff on the wheel wells and front and rear bumpers and the rockers to clean all the road grime off, i can spray this stuff on and watch the crap roll right off the car!!

Three wheeler guys probably have the biggest balls out of all the ATV/Motorcycle riders. You just have to be a little twisted to ride them, and you have to be a great rider to do so.

Castrol Superclean in the purple bottle. I have a lot of vintage offroad machines, some of which I'm sure were never washed since the 70's. Spray on a cold dry engine, wait, and pressure wash off. Like new in every case. I found Simple Green to be about 40% as powerful as Castrol Superclean and it just doesn't melt the mud and grime away.

Foaming or gel engine degreaser and a nice brush and a tooth brush. Takes some time but it works great. Carb cleaner and 0000 steel wool works great on pipes and other un-painted metals.

4cfed: The orange stuff probably works good but not to get confused with "GREASED LIGHTENING". This stuff will ruin polished aluminum or chrome. A friend used it on his sportster and trashed it.....Beets

I haven't even considered degreaser being as it's not grease/oil on there. Looks like this engine has never leaked. I've used engine degreaser on many vehicles of the 4 wheel/street legal persuasion with great results.

x2 I use it full strength from a spray bottle with an old toothbrush. I have run into any kind of gunk yet it wouldn't remove.
