Soak it with wd40 and let it sit for a few hours, and powerwash....
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

I found Simple Green to be about 40% as powerful as Castrol Superclean and it just doesn't melt the mud and grime away.
I agree with Kwattro...Castrol Super Clean is awesome, works great on engines, metal, plastic, even seats. and I also use something called VINYLEX made by Lexol to "dress" the seat and plastics, it looks great nice and shiny, but not greasy like Armorall.

a little off topic, but just figured I'd share

I used oven cleaner. Some frown it.. but works dam good. Heat motor up a little and spray. Leave sit and clean. Do it outdoors as fumes sucks. my 2 cents.

i use mineral spirits and a soft wire brush, the brass ones.the aluminum is getting more porus with its age and thats what hold the funk.clean very well and seal the motor with a clear.

when I have a motor that looks like that I use this stuff

    http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...004000_225-4-0

Can be found at automotive stores. I get it in one gallon jugs for $20.

Use extreme caution with it - I got chemical burns on my hands last year and they ached for a week straight. Super potent if not diluted. I brush on with a tooth brush and flush with water after you see the aluminum start foaming white.

Three wheeler guys probably have the biggest balls out of all the ATV/Motorcycle riders. You just have to be a little twisted to ride them, and you have to be a great rider to do so.
