Dirtcrasher, you seem like a well experienced mechanic, and a step up machinist when it comes to these machines. Im sure rebuilding shocks will come very easy for you. I have rebuilt a couple shocks, and got some hints from some suspensonn technicians in the local shops to help me along the way. They are not as hard to do as everyone makes them out to be, and I wish the service manual should show how to take apart and rebuild the rear shock, and not just say to replace it. Once you take one apart, you will find it wasnt so bad. The hardest part if you ask me is most of the time the circlip. Good luck, and I know you will suceed!

Pardon my ignorance, I've just been swamped (TRULY SWAMPED!!) but I believe it was you that had some rear shock springs that work on the 86/87 20X rear shock also?? I'm sorry, IDK which end is up or down right now with so much going on. I'd have to back up and see what you had said/posted or if was even you??

I'll blast it and PC it and the spring; It's about time I taught myself how to rebuild shocks anyhow. Unfortunately another 3WW member whom I gave some free (Banshee) parts to, could not set aside a couple hours to work with me on my 1st shock rebuild with him at my cost; I was just looking for his tips/tricks or guidance.

But, I've learned everything else on my own so far so F-it, I'll survive : I don't give people things with expectations of reciprocation in the future; If thats the case then it is NOT A GIFT!!! Never give things away with expectations. The help would've been much appreciated though, but no big deal...........................I'll live.

Anyhow, please shoot me an email and I'll try to buy a spring from you. I do have some stuff kicking around for your trike??; Regardless, we'll figure something out that I can afford in my current situation but I'm a jumper and I do need a good tough spring from you.............

Regardless as I said before, you've done a fantastic job on this machine - THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Long live the ATC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah phase five made heavy duty fork springs, kind of hard to come by for a 200x tho, felt kinda bad using a NOS set. They actually made rear shock springs too, I have a NOS one in the garage, I'll see if I can dig it up and take a pic. This 200x has a White Bros rear shock spring on it which has been one of the best that I have tried on a 200x.

I've actually been collecting aftermarket parts for this build and my next build (missle engineering flat track 200x) for about 5 years. It takes time to come across a lot of the parts, keep a good eye on ebay, craigslist, and get to know some people on the forum and you'll be well on your way. If your just looking for engine components, Powroll, webcam, and megacycle still make good performance parts for the 200x.

Whats up with the kill switch wire LOL . A nice set or SRP low pro fenders would really look good on that . A bapp case saver is a must if your not gonna use a stock one .

Thanks for all the good comments guys! The rear end is a plus 4 durablue with 300ex hubs so that will give you an idea of the width. No videos yet but they will be coming soon, the trike is off now to the guy who built my engine. He has an atv dyno and is going to tune it in on the dyno for the new 28mm carb. Good spot on the kill switch wire Mike lol, I forgot to tie it up before the pics. I agree tho SRP low pros would be perfect on this thing, hope to have some sort of low pro rear fender on it by trikefest will be looking for some here shortly. Thanks for the tip on the pegs Raffa, they will adjusted as soon as I get it back. Thanks again to everyone on here who helped me out with parts on this build!
