help with mods on a '95 Banshee!

I have a '95 Banshee with DG pipes and a stage 1 jet kit. I also have a '90 parts bike that has a Trinity Racing stage 4 engine that is blown up. I want to put the two into one carb and pipe on the '95. Should I just put the carb on, just the pipe, both or neither?? Where do I start for tuning and jetting?? There is no silencer with the two into one pipe so what should I do there?? I think the 2 into 1 carb and the DG pipes would be a good setup but what do you guys think?? Help from experienced knowledgeable people is appreciated!! 8)

I would go with the 2 into 1 carb on the 95. Or you could just get the other motor rebuilt. Then with the 95 motor you could make one hell of a go-cart! LOL. I always wanted to do that.

There are 2 companies that make a 2 into 1 pipe and a silencer for it that i know of. Moto-Fast and Dyno-Port.

You are right about the twin pipes, that looks cool. The two into one parts came with the '90. I think I will just try the two into one carb setup first and see what that does.

... what kind of riding do you do is the most important question. I have a bit of experience with Dyno-ports 2-1 pipe and its a great product - but it alters the Banshees powerband dramatically to the south. Also, I dont believe it gives the motor any more Hp. Because of this low end power shift, it makes the Banshee much more managable and enjoyable in the woods. If thats what you ride in, by all means go with that set up. For anything else - Toomeys T-4 pipe is where its at for Banshees - 10+ hp increase. Changing to a single carb set up gives you much the same impact as the 2-1 pipe - its easier to work with the motor in the tight stuff. It will also make tuning the whailer SO much easier.

why is looks the main objective here tecate_man???? i think he is talking about performance, not looks.....

i have heard that the 2-1 pipe and carb setup turns the banshee into a torque machine.....wich would be better for woods, if your lookin for more speed, then go with the 2 pipes, and everything else....
Give me no lip and I tell you no lie.

halp with mods on a '95 Banshee

Thanks for the responses guys, keep 'em coming. I do ride in woods and tight areas for the most part. I do not want to kill the top end, though. I think I will put the carb on and leave the DG pipes and see how that is.

Don't be mistaken - you probably wont loose any top speed from the Dyno-Port pipe, you're just going to alter the way the engine gets you there.

...your going to have to contact Dyno-port and buy one of their silencers. Otherwise, its fabrication time.
